What We Do
We play hockey for the love of the game, at Breakout Hockey we will help your child develop their hockey skills while nurturing their love for the game. Proper instruction and mentorship is vital in developing a great hockey player and athlete. Sean Brown has had inside experience with many hockey greats, and has gained a lot of knowledge over his 15 years as a professional hockey player. Playing with some of the most high caliber NHL clubs he has seen and learned what brings success to an athlete. Learning systems and techniques from highly respected coaches, he has valuable knowledge and expertise to share with new players on their journey to becoming great hockey players.
Our History
Breakout Hockey Inc. began in the summer of 2011 with a few weeks of summer camps for 5 year old hockey players just new to the game. We now have grown to having more than 30 camps each year, from all ages from Novice-Pro level players, serving more than 500 hockey players each year. We offer custom camps, private group camps, and open registration camps focusing on all areas of the game. We have quality instructors on the ice for every session, and offer a fun and professional environment for players to learn and develop their game.

The Founder,
Sean Brown
Sean Brown, founder and owner of Breakout Hockey has been playing hockey since he was a child. He began his professional career as an accomplished hockey player in the OHL (Ontario Hockey League) playing for three seasons with the Belleville Bulls. In 1995 he was selected in the first round of the NHL draft by the Boston Bruins going 21st overall. He played for 4 NHL teams (Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils and Vancouver Canucks) in a total of 436 NHL games. After his NHL career he moved on to play in Europe for 5 more seasons. Sean coached with the Edmonton Oil Kings for 2 seasons, winning the Memorial Cup Championship in 2014, and is currently the skills coach for the Okanagan Hockey Academy Edmonton.
